01Road use or road alteration?
White Rock distinguishes Road Use Permits for road or sidewalk closures from Road Alteration Permits for work such as driveways and utility upgrades. Consult the City’s Boulevard Improvements & Road Permits page and identify both the construction activity and its effect on public access.
02Utility and frontage work
The City’s guidance links to additional requirements for utility upgrades, underground services and driveway access. Explain whether your traffic control request supports one of those activities. Send the applicable drawings and review comments so planning support can be discussed in the context of the wider job.
03Resident access and notification
The City’s permit checklist includes resident notification and traffic management information. Identify affected entrances and describe the expected disruption. Confirm current notification requirements with the City and who will handle them before work begins.
04Plan the pedestrian route
Show the sidewalk or roadside space affected, building entrances and access for deliveries alongside the work footprint. If the arrangement changes between stages, describe those changes rather than assuming a single layout fits the whole project. Share the approved hours and plan with the on-site contact.
05Arrange the right services
NORTHSTAR offers BCCSA-certified traffic control personnel, lane closure technicians and trucks, and TMP and permit support. Explain your activity and existing plan so we can discuss the personnel, equipment and supervision required. Confirm the scope and applicable approvals before work starts.
06Request a White Rock quote
Request a quote with the full address, work description, requested dates, daily hours and site contact. Mention any existing plans or permit conditions. Call (604) 217-2915 for 24/7 dispatch and current availability. A quote enquiry does not reserve a crew or guarantee permit approval.
