01BCCSA-certified traffic control personnel
Traffic Control Persons (TCPs), often called flaggers, help direct road users through or around a work zone. NORTHSTAR provides personnel for construction, road maintenance, utility work, film productions and events. Tell us what work is taking place so we can discuss the traffic control support it requires.
02Flagging crews and TCP supervision
Flagging needs depend on the site layout, work activity, access points and traffic control plan. Share your planned work area and the contact responsible for coordinating the job. Where supervision is needed, ask about our TCP supervisor service alongside your crew booking.
03Flagging or a lane closure?
Personnel and a physical lane closure serve related but different needs. Flaggers direct traffic; a lane closure also involves the layout and equipment needed to define the work zone. If your work affects a travel lane, discuss lane closure services as well as personnel.
04What to send for a quote
Provide the site address or nearest intersection, work description, requested dates, start time and expected shift length. Include an existing traffic control plan and permit conditions if available. Note delivery movements, driveway access, pedestrians or other activity that may affect the setup.
05Scheduling your crew
Our dispatch is available 24/7. Call (604) 217-2915 to discuss urgent or upcoming work. Crew availability and the required setup are confirmed for the specific booking; an enquiry alone does not reserve a crew or establish a response time.
06Planning ahead
If you do not yet have a plan, explain the work and its location when you contact us. We also provide traffic management plans and permit support. For work in the city, see our Vancouver traffic control information before requesting a quote.
