01Road and lane closure requests
Port Coquitlam’s Road Closure Permit guide describes applications for construction, utilities and events. Supply the affected streets and work limits when requesting support; a project spanning more than one street needs each affected location identified.
02Plans and public notification
The City asks for a traffic management plan showing signage, traffic controls and addresses on affected streets. It also identifies advance-notification requirements for certain arterial and collector-road works. Check which applies and share the relevant conditions so notification arrangements and crew timing are coordinated.
03Related highway-use approvals
The closure guide links to other approvals that may apply, including the Highway Use Permit process. Tell us whether your closure relates to development, utility installation or another activity. A lane closure request is not necessarily the only project approval.
04Prepare a complete work sequence
Mark the location of equipment, delivery entrances and temporary access arrangements. Explain any stage that changes the road space used or the direction of site traffic. Send the current drawings, application references and requested shift times so the traffic control scope follows the actual work.
05Arrange the right services
NORTHSTAR offers BCCSA-certified traffic control personnel, lane closure technicians and trucks, and TMP and permit support. Explain your activity and existing plan so we can discuss the personnel, equipment and supervision required. Confirm the scope and applicable approvals before work starts.
06Request a Port Coquitlam quote
Request a quote with the full address, work description, requested dates, daily hours and site contact. Mention any existing plans or permit conditions. Call (604) 217-2915 for 24/7 dispatch and current availability. A quote enquiry does not reserve a crew or guarantee permit approval.
