01Identify the activity
Delta’s Highway Use Permit application is organized around the type of activity and its supporting documents. Explain what you will do in the public road space: for example, construction work, equipment placement or a temporary obstruction. A clear activity description is more useful than a request for a generic closure.
02Use the Delta checklist
Find the Highway Use Permit through Delta’s permits and licences directory. Its application identifies documents such as a site map, construction drawings and a traffic management plan where applicable. Follow the current activity-specific checklist and confirm which documents the project must supply.
03Separate footprint and access
Show both the area occupied by equipment or materials and the route vehicles use to enter it. Include any nearby pedestrian path, driveway or loading access. If equipment placement changes during the job, mark the stages so the closure and personnel requirements can be discussed separately.
04Share the project documents
Provide the address, scope, planned dates, existing drawings and permit reference with your request. Mention whether the application is pending or conditions have already been issued. We can then discuss TMP support, the on-site setup and crew availability without assuming the road-use approval is complete.
05Arrange the right services
NORTHSTAR offers BCCSA-certified traffic control personnel, lane closure technicians and trucks, and TMP and permit support. Explain your activity and existing plan so we can discuss the personnel, equipment and supervision required. Confirm the scope and applicable approvals before work starts.
06Request a Delta quote
Request a quote with the full address, work description, requested dates, daily hours and site contact. Mention any existing plans or permit conditions. Call (604) 217-2915 for 24/7 dispatch and current availability. A quote enquiry does not reserve a crew or guarantee permit approval.
